Hi all, I'm hoping you could give me advice. Thanks in advance for your help. I'm just getting into shooting more often, and want to plan some training this year, but am not sure what classes/training make the most sense. I've read a bunch of threads with similar questions, but still haven't been able to decide.
Some background: I usually shoot standing/seated pistol and .22 rifle at paper targets. I own a few semi-auto pistols (one that I'm not very accurate with lately), and have an HQL. My interest is gaining accuracy, then eventually getting involved in more competitive events like IDPA. I've done one match of standing steel target with my 9mm, and was not very impressive. Located in southern MD, but would travel if needed.
What classes or instruction should I look into? Should I just schedule a couple of hours with someone like ProShooter to work on fundamentals and the like? Is there an slightly less beginner NRA class that would come after basic pistol?
