Suggestions needed

I am currently fitting my 1903a3 with a non-sporterized stock and now have this nice stock (although cut-down):

I was thinking making another shooter out of it - so what would be a good (caliber-wise) fit for this?



I was thinking of trying to go with a lighter caliber since it is a straight stock.
