Thinking about heading to the pistol range with my wife tomorrow. Probably shooting myself in the foot work wise, but her parents are here for the week and this is one of the few times we can go and shoot without having to worry about who is watching our kids. There is the intro.
My concern is whether there are stands at the pistol range that I can use, or do I need to make my own?
If there are stands available, will they work at a yardage shorter than 25 yards? If so, what is the shortest distance I can use them at?
If there are stands, will I be able to tape a 9 1/2" x 11" target to them, or do I need to bring some cardboard along?
I bought all the material today to make some stands based upon a thread I saw on this forum using PVC and some 1x2 sticks, but now I have a meeting in the morning and am not going to be able to get it done. Not only that, but I want to try and figure something out where I can fold up the stands so they will fit in the trunk of the car and other than a bolt and a wing nut, I am falling short on a brilliant plan.
