Nerds, net security, and SI

So, I'm listening to SecurityWeekly episode 410 and they go off on a tangent about security hygiene, and the reliability of tools. This podcast is prone to tangents, so this is nothing unusual. Then the tangent veers into glocks and how they discovered a broken extractor on a neglected sample. Not as usual; I'm listening. Then 870's are mentioned. Still listening closely. Then Carlos Perez, one of their usual suspects says, "Gabe Suarez, the guy from whom I've received most of my training..." And I'm now laser-beaming my phone from which the podcast is playing.

He goes on to recite a characteristically quotable Gabism, and the show carries on.

I expect to hear Gabe mentioned on Michael Bane's podcast. And, at this point, I expect to see him on Outdoor Channel. On a podcast where the discussion typically revolves around wordpress vulnerabilities, SANS training, and linux utilities that have been vulnerable over the last few decades? Ya, that's new.
