Hey guys, my HQL is on its way so soon I'll be heading out to purchase a pistol. I've fallen in love with the 1911 and I'm looking specifically at the Springfield Mil-Spec. I'd prefer to purchase in person (and I'm willing to pay a little more for it), but I'm not very familiar with the best places in the area. Rick's Gun and Pawn is pretty close to my house but the pricing on their website is $780 for the parkerized version of the Mil-Spec which seems a bit high. I'd like to support a local business but it seems like a big markup when Cabela's up the road in DE has it for $700, is this average for a local shop?
I haven't checked with Freestate to see if they have any in stock but might give them a call. I'm frequently traveling between Cecil County and Baltimore County so anywhere in between there would be no trouble. Any recommendations?
