Over the weekend I (finally) started got started on turning my sporterized M1903a3 back to (as close as I can) milspecs:

All was going well until I got to these two screws:

As much as I tired (including using some liquid wrench) they wouldn't move - at all. I forgot that my son had borrowed some of my tools (including some of my large screwdrivers and some power tools). So I didn't have anything to get the leverage I needed. What to do - I thought. After a few minutes of tearing my house apart and the garage, it came to me! The mosin's bayonet is long and has a flat-tip end - It just might work! And what do-you-know: It did, the screws loosened! :D
Unfortunately the stock that I have for it:

Doesn't fit quite right, so I have a bit of sanding to do. :sad20:
