need help with a Buckmark 22lr seized screw

vendredi 6 mars 2015

I have a sweet little Buckmark 22 that I inherited a couple of years ago. It shoots very well; however, I have not been able to strip it for cleaning as I am unable to remove the front allen head screw on the top plate. It is seized, I have applied wd40 and let it soak for days on end and I have put more than enough pressure on the 3/32" (?) allen wrench (just sort of breaking the wrench) but cannot get it to budge. I have a second Buckmark which I have stripped many times, so I am familiar with the stripping procedure and I am aware of the conical shakeproof washers on each of the two screws. Short of using heat and/or whacking the screwhead with a punch and hammer, does anyone have any recommendations? I'm about ready to put it in the hands of a gunsmith.
