Quick background:
40yo
Single but have a girlfriend
Work at a digital firm (make apps, websites, backend software)
I'm pretty new to buying guns, but am not new to guns. Been shooting stuff since I was 13 yo. Was in ROTC for a couple of years in college, so I got to fire machine guns, but I didn't join the military.
First gun ever fired was a .357 ruger python.
Step dad offered to let me shoot his .22 browning first, but I felt ballsy and went big. Don't regret it.
Brother is ex-military police (army) and merc. He is a huge gun enthusiast and lives in the great gun state of Florida where they aren't pestered by non sense laws. MY dad collects too, but a real small collection (less than 10 guns)
Started buying in november 2014 and my current armory consists of:
AR-15 .223/5.56 Windham Weapon HBAR 16"
AR-15 .223/5.56 Custom Anderson lower/ CMMG upper 16"
AR-15 .223/5.56 Pistol Anderson Lower / Aero Precision 7.5"
AR-15 .300AAC Pistol Spikes Lower / Rev Arms 8.5"
IWI UZI . 22LR (it's the plinker clone inmported by umarex)
Mossberg Flex 590 12GA Shotgun
Remington SPS 700 .308 with 26" barrel.
Will be getting my HQL soon.
A fun tidbit for everyone here. My firm designed the (now defunct) online handgun safety training course for the mdsp. I have a personal interest in getting the HQL revoked, because I worked on that project and would like to see it come back and update it. I also designed the DC Metro Police online firearms safety training course.
