Looking to make an addition in my collection with a Springfield 1903 that's not a 1903A3. I would like something in good physical condition, military correct, and shootable over a safe queen/high dollar collector gun or something that was sporterized (USGI-accurate rebuilds are okay as well as long as they are safe to shoot). I'm only looking for a "high-number" rifle. I'm not that choosy about manufacturer, but I would prefer a Remington 1903 Modified rifle over a Rock Island or Springfield. I would also prefer a four or six-groove barrel over a two-groove barrel, but one in immaculate shape would be okay as well.
For Trade, I have a really nice early Smith Corona 1903A3 with a 4 groove barrel and scant stock and some other items if the right deal comes along. I have two 1903A3's and this is the nicer of the two.
