...for my Lever Action Rifle.
I've got a Henry Big Boy I'd like to scope up. It's got holes drilled in the receiver for a mount and I have the Henry mount, too.
I don't hunt, but I do shoot targets of all sorts - real paper targets, steel plates, two liter bottles, soda cans - at distances up to about 100 yards. That's pretty much the distance limit I have that is easily accessible.
I don't really need built in BDC. But I would like a nice, bright scope. I'm not sure a 1x4x24 will do the job for me, but I don't know what will. Obviously, if I am trying to shoot two liter plastic bottles at 50 to 100 yards, I need a scope with some power. But...I don't really want a large, heavy scope. Suggestions?
I have been looking for a computer application that might depict a scope on screen, along with targets, that you could zoom in on to show the impact of different scope powers, but I haven't found one yet. If you know of any, I'd appreciate the URL.
Thanks!
